Description
We are looking for a Senior Accountant to assist us at our headquarters located in Gardena, California
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor's degree (B.S.) or equivalent; five plus years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Public accounting experience in audit is recommended with an industry focus in real estate.

Management
- Directly report to CFO
- Manage outsourced accounting responsibilities to India
- Oversee the operations of the accounting department, including the design of an organizational structure adequate for achieving the department's goals and objectives
- Oversee the accounting operations of real estate entities, especially their control systems, transaction-processing operations, and policies and procedures.
- Ensure that accounts payable are paid in a timely manner
- Ensure that all reasonable discounts are taken on accounts payable
- Ensure that accounts receivable are collected promptly
- Ensure that bank reconciliations are completed monthly
- Ensure that required debt payments are made on a timely basis
- Maintain an orderly accounting filing system
- Maintain a system of controls over accounting transactions
- Issue timely and complete monthly financial statements
- Coordinate the preparation of annual report
- Recommend benchmarks against which to measure the performance of company operations
- Calculate and issue financial and operating metrics
- Manage the production of the annual budget and forecasts
- Calculate variances from the budget and report significant issues to management
- Provide for a system of management cost reports
- Provide financial analyses as needed, in particular for capital investments, pricing decisions, and contract negotiations
- Coordinate the provision of information and financial statements to various lending organizations
- Monitor debt levels and compliance with debt covenants
- Organize and provide accurate financial information to CPAs preparing tax filings
- Help with government and regulatory audits and compliance requests
- Process a timely and accurate payroll on a semi monthly basis.
- Review and process Time and Attendance/Time off in Workday
- Review time cards for accuracy and correspond with managers.
- Manage Leaves of Absences
- Process manual check requests – ensure timely processing of payment and responsible to accurate log of issued checks.
- Generate monthly reports for our benefits and accounting teams.
- Knowledge in Excel and be able to maneuver through Pivots, V-lookup and can manipulate large data set.
- Support special projects when needed.
